Sibley Lake, Wyoming

Sibley Lake, Wyoming

The mountains are already a winter wonderland.

I came upon these guys, who were on a fishing trip from Wisconsin, while I was hiking around Sibley Lake. It was a beautiful day up there: fresh powder, fresh air, and a fresh battery in my trusty Coolpix.

When I came off the mountain, I decided I had just enough time to hop into my waders and get into the Tongue River.

I normally catch-and-release, but about an hour later I had 18 inches of brown trout simmering in butter, garlic and basil.

A beautiful day, indeed.
