I’ve shown you projects by Gerik Parmele before such as [u n b i d d e n]
and photocolumn.org. But if you want to see something really nice, check out nine months.
If you like my site, there are a couple other Nebraska photographers have started photo blogs that you should check out.
Scott Kingsley and friends are “trying to maintain that even keel” in Grand Island with Seizures
Derek Lippincott comes to us from the University of Nebraska with his Web Journal
One of my former classmates, Nikki Fox maintains her journal from Corbin, Kentucky.

I’ve become a short-time employee of the Grand Island Independent while they are short-handed and I’m short of a job. I wasn’t short of fears and anxieties when I started to make photos for publication. But in the short time that it’s been since taking on my first assignment, I’ve regained my old passion during my short-lived hiatus from the world. I feel like an athlete and my sport is making good photos.
In short, I’m back.

It’s been two years since nine-eleven.
It’s been two months since I last posted a journal entry.
A lot has changed since both.
I guess one reason why I haven’t updated my blog recently is because it has been so long, and so much is different. I feel like I should have an epic statement of reflection or a huge update as to what happened this summer in Maine. Maybe I should write about how my travels have been, where I am now, what’s next.. Something big right?
Well, I’m not in the mood.
I’ve decided that the only way this web site is going to get updated ever again is if I take baby steps.
So hello again. Thanks for sticking with me.
I promise not to be a stranger.
