BIG canvas sale.

I came home from a nice long weekend on the Niobrara river to find an email from my canvas supplier offering a nice little sale that I’d like to forward to my customers.  Get 20% off any 20×30 or larger canvas.

There are some other limits: I can only get the deal on 3 canvases, so I’m only offering this to the first person who orders up to three canvases or to three people who each order one canvas.  Also, I need your order by Thursday.

If you’d like to take advantage of the sale, contact me by Thursday at noon and I’ll help you through the checkout process (because of the 3-canvas limit, I won’t be changing my online cart…so contact me!)

Here’s an image from my trip this weekend spent with extraordinary photographers Matt Miller, Travis Heying and Ryan Soderlin.  (Maybe the link to Ryan’s website will shame him to update it sometime in the next couple years.)  I’m hoping to blog more images, but in case I don’t, check out Travis’ awesome blog update: http://heyingblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/when-photojournalists-go-camping.html

These are some more photos of Carson at one week.  I can’t believe he’s already about 6 weeks old!  He eats all the time and is turning into a chunky little monkey!

Do you know of any little ones that ought to be photographed?  Send ‘em our way!.  If they call me before the end of the month and mention this blog offer, I’ll waive their sitting fee.  If you are a wedding client of mine and you refer somebody, I’ll also give you a $100 credit towards wedding prints.

Remember, to take advantage of the savings, have your friends call me before the end of August and mention this post! For more information about Lane Photographics portraiture, please go to lanephotographics.com.

Jen + Dave: If this truck is a rockin’….

How much fun are these photos?  I just love Jen and Dave’s style and apreciation for vintage fashion.  Using the couple’s ‘57 International Harvester truck as a prop, we were able to do some fun things that I don’t normally do.  I’m looking forward to their wedding at the Rogers House B&B in Lincoln next month!

I’d love to hear people’s reactions to this first image.  Comments welcome!

Katie + Mike: boat-loads of fun!

Katie, Mike and I had a great time the other night making photos around the Fremont lake where Katie’s family has a cabin.  I even setup my softbox on a boat that we took out into the middle of the lake.  That had to be a sight to make the locals think, “huh?”

Mara + David: fun with silhouettes.

During most engagement sessions I shoot a couple silhouettes.  While editing Mara and David’s Zorinsky Lake engagement session, I noticed I had quite a variety of them (including a couple kayakers in silhouette).  Enjoy!

David and Mara won a free engagement session from Lane Weddings at the “Suite Memories, a Bridal Affair” bridal show last November at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln, Nebraska.  I hope they feel like they got their money’s worth!

Kelly + Ryan: Wet ‘n’ Wild!

Mmmm mmmm mmmmm….this was a fun engagement session!  I spent a beautiful evening with Ryan and Kelly the other night back in good ‘ol Grand Island, where things got a little steamy.  I just love the imagery that we got together.  Here’s a couple photos from the evening.

After getting shots like this from the beaches of Grand Island (for those who don’t know, it is neither grand nor an island–but a little agri-based, land-locked town in the middle of Nebraska), I can’t wait to see what we end up with on the sandy beaches of Cabos!
