I wish more people would ask me to shoot an anniversary session. When Alicia approached me about shooting a couple’s session similar to their engagement session to hallmark their 5th wedding anniversary, I jumped at the chance. It was cool too see how much more comfortable they were–both in their own skin in front of the camera and in each other’s arms.
During toasts at weddings, I sometimes hear somebody wish that the couple’s love continues to grow so that when they look back, this day–their wedding day–is the day they loved each other least. It sounded hokey to me when I was newly married, but it is starting to make sense. I see it in my own life and marriage and it was apparent with Ben and Alicia.
