I love the wet season in Nebraska…

A day like today is perfect for a quiet afternoon with a cup of jo and a cigarette.

Nebraska doesn’t get too very much rain, so for me it is a welcome change. As a photographer, I love the color saturation of everything on a drury day. Reds, yellows, blues and greens all explode with rich hues.

When the sun comes out, some of that color stays. Just one day like this will help the green of spring replace the brown of winter. Life is sprinkled onto the trees, ready to bud out. Ready to become lush sanctuaries, protecting us from the harsh July heat.

What a great time of year!

Thanks for reading!
