Suh-perstar.

All eyes are on Ndamukong Suh this week as he goes on what many expect to be a victory lap around the country, collecting a trophy-case full of hardware.  Last night he was named the winner of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy The Nagurski goes to the country’s top defensive player. Plus he was selected as a Heisman finalist, an honor rarely bestowed on defensive players.  Later this week he may also bring home the Lombardi Award, the Outland Trophy, the Walter Camp Award and the Bednarik Award.

I’ve always been a Husker fan to some extent. However, anybody who knows me knows that I’m pretty laid back about my fandom, and I’m rarely star-struck.  But this guy has me reading fan blogs, checking out Heisman watch sites, and generally drooling as I watch him dismantle teams each Saturday.  He is the most impressive collegiate defender I’ve ever seen.

Good luck this week, Suh.  You’ve helped make Nebraskans proud of their Blackshirts again.
