I met Katie at the the Tri-City
Bridal Expo in January. We talked a bit and she really liked my style of
work, and I really enjoyed talking with her. Unfortunately I already booked
her wedding date.
About a week later, Katie was the first person I thought of after coming up
with an agreement with Alyssa Schukar to shoot for Lane Weddings. After getting
a chance to edit Alyssa’s engagement session with Katie and Mark, I’m so glad
I did.
The photos are gorgeous. The two are a very attractive couple and I can’t wait
to see what Alyssa does with the wedding photos in September. It looks like
the three of them had a good time making their way through the Haymarket area
and Pioneers Park in Lincoln.
I wasn’t sure how well it was going to go: editing the photos of another photographer.
But let me tell you it was a treat. As I went through her take, each photo kept
getting better than the one before. Alyssa is such an amazing photographer.
Last month she was named the Photographer of the Year by the Nebraska News Photographer’s
Association–the first time a freelancer won the award for as long as I’ve been
paying attention. She has an amazing eye for light has an incredible skill for
capturing emotions.
I’m very fortunate to have her on the Lane Weddings team.
